Get Well Doodle Card

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
This isn't what I would call an official "doodle" card, but it does use some of the ideas you'd expect in a doodle card...black outlined border with some doodly images. Although when you think of a doodle card you think of whimsical images, which this doesn't have at all. Let's call it a formal-looking doodle card and leave it at that.
I used the stamp sets Summer Silhouettes, Papillon Potpourri, and a retired stamp set Sincere Salutations for the sentiment. The Summer Silhouette stamp set created a great leafy vine and I used the small flower from the set in the corners. I filled in the rest of the lines with my black marker.
Someday I'll make a real doodle card!

"Tags For All" Hybrids

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
I keep finding myself turning to the digital download Tags For All when I need a quick card, or a fun way to dress up an ordinary package or envelope. This download is full of fun tags and embellishments and it offers some fun and diverse ideas when it comes to gift-giving. (See my previous post for another package idea)

My first share started off as an ordinary white envelope which I spruced up with a Tags For All bow and Happy Birthday tag. My only original touch was to recolor parts of the confetti on the tag. I printed up the bow and tag, got out my scissors, cut them out, attaching them to my envelope. What a cute embellishment!

My second share is a hybrid card I created using a digital tag from Tags for All which I used as a card front. Other digital elements include: Strawberry Slush Polka Dot DSP background from Tags for All; Strawberry Slush Bird from Sunny Day; Basic Black Sentiment from Hugs & Wishes. I cut a Basic Black CS border for the digital image and attached to the front of a Whisper White card front. I added a little black ribbon bow and a few rhinestones for embellishments.
My third hybrid share are Thank You tags. These were created with the digital elelments: Tags For All Thank You stamp; Summer Happiness Butterfly stamp; Tags For All Strawberry Slush Polka Dot DSP. The little butterfly was handstamped using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set in Basic Black on Strawberry Slush CS, and then punched with the Bitty Butterfly and dimensionaled to tag front.
On my last hybrid share I enlarged the above the tag, cutting off the tag shaped top to create a rectangle. I carefully added the black border on the top with a ruler and black Sharpie, attaching the digital image to the center of a Whisper White Framed Tulip embossed border, framed by a Basic Black border and attached to the front of a Strawberry Slush card front. The smaller butterfly was handstamped in Basic Black on Strawberry Slush CS with Papillon Potpourri stamp set and then punched with the Elegant Butterfly. I loved the big bold "Thank You"along with the bold colors of black, white, and pink...very fun!
I thought I'd share a few of the tag samples with you from the
digital  Tags For All kit...fun, fun, fun set!

Thanks so much for stopping by... I hope you all have a
wonderful day!

I combined the new Coastal Cabana and the tried and true Early Espresso inks to create a simple but elegant card. The sentiment is from the Best of Greetings stamp set. A bit of paper-piercing and a touch of bling adds a couple of extras to this card.

Have a wonderful day!

Two CAS Thank You's

(there's too many fun promos to list them all here)
Today I'm sharing a couple of cards with you. On the first one I used a clear acrylic stamp block to create the bold geometric colored background. I rubbed the block onto my ink pads, then gave the block a quick mist of water before stamping onto my Whisper White CS. The inks I used were Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, and Tangerine Tango. Make sure that you clean the block in between colors if you try this out for yourself.
I stamped my sentiment in Basic Black using the retired stamp set "Thank You Kindly", but the new stamp set Sweet Essentials (which just happens to be on sale for 25% off until June 30, see my promo page for more information) would work great for the sentiment. I added a sequin to each of the blocks for a bit of blingy fun.

Card One Supplies:
CS: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise
INK: Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black
SS: Thank You Kindly (retired) or try Sweet Essentials (126457)
BIG SHOT:Apothecary Accents framelit (127003)
PUNCHES: Scallop Edge Border (119882), Boho Blossoms (119858), Itty Bitty Shapes (118309)
ACCESSORIES: Rhinestone Jewels (119246), Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack (126187), Acrylic block "C" (118486), water bottle mister

My second card share today is just a very, very simple card featuring a DSP banner adhered to the Crumb Cake card front, which is embossed using the Stripes EB folder. I was daring and ran a bottle cap through the Big Shot to flatten it out. It worked great and created the cute little circular frame for the stamped and punched sentiment from the A Fitting Occasion stamp set.
The bottle cap was adhered to a Daffodil Delight Scallop Circle and a Midnight Muse Itty Bitty punched circle was placed in the center of the stamped circle, with a rhinestone bling.

Card Two Supplies:
CS: Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Polka Dot Parade (126902)
INK: Midnight Muse
SS: A Fitting Occasion (127049)
BIG SHOT: to smash bottle cap
PUNCHES: 1-3/4" Scallop Circle(119854),1" Circle (119868), Itty Bitty Shapes (118309)
ACCESSORIES: Rhinestone Jewels (119246), bottle cap

SCS Featured Stamper Challenge

(there's too many fun promos to list them all here)

Here's a quick card I made for an upcoming birthday. To get the mojo going, I played along with this week's Featured Stamper Challenge at SCS. This week's Featured Stamper is Colleen Dietrich.

This was my first time using my pinwheel sizzlit. What a fun and easy embellishment it makes. My daughter, Adriel, had been noticing a sequins trend on cards, so I added some fun sequins to this already cheery card. They added the perfect pizzazz.

Supply Summary: Whisper White CS, Pear Pizzazz CS, Tangerine Tango CS, Summer Smooches DSP, Wire (for pinwheel handle), sequins, From My Heart SS, Scallop Edge punch, Square Lattice EB folder

Thanks for stopping by and looking!
