    Frayed Denim Brayer

This little 3x3 card needed some denim to finish it off, so I cut apart an old pair of jeans and frayed an edge to pull off some denim threads. The little palm from the Plant Hope stamp set fit perfectly against the brayered background. (Here's a brayering video I posted this month).
I used the direct-to-paper technique to create the wispy grass in the foreground. This is the third in a trio of cards from February's Brayer Class. If you'd like more information on the tutorial or card kits available, please click here.

    Video and Brayered Flower Garden

I'm excited to share the cards we made in this month's Brayering Class. If you haven't brayered before, it's a great way to add color and drama to your cards. Once you get comfortable with brayering, it's a technique you'll want to use often in your card making or scrapbooking. Today's card uses the Flower Garden textured impression folder along with brayering.
I added a sentiment from the Petite Pairs stamp set, which fit perfectly next to the embossed Flower Garden image. I'm also posting my YouTube video on Brayering below.

I appreciate you stopping by...hope that you have a great day.

    Itty Bitty Flower Brayer

I am in love with the Pocket Silhouette stamp set, because of its versatility. I used it in my October class using the baby wipe technique and I'm using it again in this month's Brayer class because it creates the perfect grassy field against the brayered background. (Be sure to check out my Brayer Video if you missed it).
I used the Adorning Accents edgelit and embossing folders to create the cute scallop edge details.

    Thanks a bunch for visiting.

An Overdue Post and Happy Valentine's Day

It's been awhile since I've posted...but the good news is that I'm putting up a post today. Yay...and I thought I'd share this shabby chic card with you. So, what else have I been doing this month? I've been creating cards  for upcoming classes and that's always a LOT of fun! I centered the cards around the Apothecary Art and Flower Fest stamp sets. I can't wait to share them with everyone.  Since I'll be teaching the cards I've been working on, I need tutorials to send out, so I've also been busy writing, taking and editing pictures, and putting them all together. It's a different kind of creating, but fun.
I taught this month's Brayering class at Tumbleweed Recreation Center last week. We had a great time brayering and everone's cards turned out beautiful. It was quite an aerobic class with all the brayering going on, we certainly got a workout. I get to teach the Brayering class again next week with another bunch of stamping gals. Can't wait!
I'll be posting this month's Brayering cards next week along with a little brayering how-to YouTube video, so you can all see what we've been up to this month. The Brayering Tutorial PDF will be available next week along with a few kits, so stay tuned for that, too.
Thanks a bunch for stopping by...I hope that you're all having a great day :-)

        Hello Baby

My two favorite stamp sets for sentiments are the Teeny Tiny Wishes and Petite Pairs...between the two stamp sets I always have the perfect sentiment for my cards. This is a card I made for a friend's daughter and her husband. I used the Petite Pairs sentiment "so glad you're here!" on the inside of the card. Obviously they had a girl , based on my color choices:-)

        I appreciate you stopping by!
