Digital Tuesday

Just got through checking out Tuesday's My Digital Studio downloads. The little Dahlias from the big catalog have been digitized, and are among today's digital downloads. Look at all the colors they come in! These are really cute embellishments. Here's a few of today's downloads.

Nostalgic Postage Due

You may be surprised to find out that most of the elements on this card are digital! The Comfort Cafe DSP is digital, the Crumb Cake background is one of the digital Postage Due stamps, which I made to look like it was stamped with Versamark (I did sponge it with Soft Suede), and the little digital stamp in the left hand corner is made to look like I embossed it with white embossing powder. All of the digital elements are the actual size to their counterparts Postage Due stamp set and Comfort Cafe DSP, so if you'd like to remake this card and stamp it yourself, it will turn out just like the My Digital Studio version. I've included the supply list below. I stamped the sentiment with Teeny Tiny Wishes and used the Bitty Banners framelits to make the flags.
The great part about digital stamping is that once you create a card, most of the work is done, which makes it quick and easy to make another card without getting out all of your supplies...I love that perk when I'm short on time and need a card.
You can still download a free 30-day trial of My Digital Studio Express. Click on link for more details.

Spring Break Download

Each Tuesday new downloads for My Digital Studio are released. Today I'm sharing one of the digital download kits that caught my eye called Spring Break. I love the cute paper and embellishments, which would make an adorable scrapbook page or album, not to mention a great card.

Red Blossoms

Today I'm sharing a card featuring my old favorites along with new items from the new 2012-13 catalog. The stamp set, Bright Blossoms  is super cute, especially when combined with the Summer Smooches DSP . I used the 3/4" circle punch for the big flower and a couple of handheld hole punches for the two smaller-sized flowers. I'm still loving the Adorning Accents edgelit and folder, along with the oval shape Designer Frame folder, which I used to create all the fun texture on my Whisper White decorative panel. The new Bitty Banners framelits  makes the cutest sentiment strip, especially when used with the coordinating Itty Bitty Banners stamp set. I used one of my favorite stamp sets on this card, Teeny Tiny Wishes, which also fits nicely with the Bitty Banners framelits.

Thanks for visiting, I hope that you have a great day!

Betsy's Blossoms

I've been getting card samples made to share with my stamping gals at my upcoming New Catalog Workshop in a few weeks, so I thought I'd share some of the cards here with you. The first card uses the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set (I actually used the digital version of Betsy's Blossoms for the stamped images on my card) and the super cute Summer Smooches DSP. I love the big blossom!
I used taffeta ribbon because I don't have the ruffled ribbon yet (I've got a ribbon share going and we just need one more person to fill the ruffled ribbon share, hint, hint!)...but it sure would have looked cute on this card, and what's a card without bling?
See you next time!

Supplies Used:
CS: Whisper White, Island Indigo
SS: Betsy's Blossoms (126006), Petite Pairs (122497)
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade
DSP: Summer Smooches (125409)
Big Shot: Adorning Accents Edgelits (125595)

A Brayered Remake

A stamping friend of mine recently moved. She sent me a cute "We've Moved" card, which I've posted below (I blurred her name and address, as I'm sure she wouldn't want the world knowing where she lives!) She does a lot of hand cut work on her cards, as you can see...I love it!

I wanted to make her a card to congratulate her and her family on their new house. Since I had a few brayer card parts from my Brayer Class left over, I decided to remake one of the cards into a "Happy New House" card. I pulled out an old Sale-A-Bration stamp set called "Good Neighbors" and used the cute house, clouds and tree to make my card. I even cut them out...Wow!
I used the computer to create my own sentiment.
Hope that you're getting settled, April! Miss you :-)

June Stamping Newsletter

My June Stamping Newsletter has been posted. You can view it HERE or by clicking on the Newsletter link on the right side bar. The newsletter includes my 2012 catalog favorites, news on my Ribbon Bundle Share, the Be Inspired page, and more.

This month I needed "thank you" cards and tags, so I turned to My Digital Studio. I designed a basic tag and was able to paste and print eight tags to an 8-1/2x11 sheet of cardstock. I used the unaltered rectangles on my thank you cards.
For the tags I rounded the two top corners and scallop edge punched the tag bottom. I added a punched Boho Blossom and dimensionaled it to the upper sections of both the tags and the cards. It was a fun and time-saving way to create and personalize my "thank you's" for this month.
Thanks a bunch for stopping by!
