Birthday Bumblebee

From Heidi...My grandson's birthday was last week. He had a marathon birthday celebration with something going on that was related to his birthday for 4 days. It was fun to celebrate with him. You would've thought he would be birthday spoiled by the end of the 4 days, but he did pretty good considering how much celebrating we did. I made him this bumblebee birthday card. I saw this card on someone's blog (I'm sorry that I can't find the link, but you can click on this blog and view a ladybug, which is another fun idea) These both were so cute and I was glad to have a reason to make the bumblebee. I hope you're inspired!Cardstock: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Big Shot: Scallop Circles

Summer Watermelon Card

From Adriel:

Okay, I'm sure my mom has shown this card to you all already, but just in case she didn't, or just in case you missed it, here's is a super cute handmade summer watermelon card that my mom created that is just so cute! I love it!

Pssst... I just added it to our shop, so if you want it, come and get it by clicking HERE. =)

My Friday feels like a Saturday today. My husband took the day off of work, the kids got their school for the week done yesterday and I took a nap this morning. We all need a day like that, right? =)

Hope you're having a great day! Friday is one of my favorite days, whether my husband has the day off or not, because the next day starts the weekend. So happy Friday to all of you! =)

Vintage Scallop Circle Cards

From Adriel:

I'm actually posting something new today! Wow! =)

Life has changed a lot for me with a new baby. I know that in a few more weeks, things will have settled down a little bit and she won't need so much attention (nursing, burping and diaper changing make up at least 8 hours of my day) and she'll be sleeping better. A part of me is longing to be the mom to my other two children I was able to be before the baby and to have the steam to do "extra" things that don't seem that important at the moment. While a part of me is craving for what used to be "normal", I'm realizing that this season of life is so short and will soon be over. My tiny little baby will be walking and talking before I know it and I'll have time again for those "extra" things. I'm learning to embrace the new "normal" and take it a day at a time. So today this is the little "extra" thing that I'm able to do. =)

I loved the scallop circle card my mom made a few weeks ago! I loved it so much, I made my own scallop circle card!

Mind you... I made this before baby. I'm not really sure when I'll be making anything new, but when I do, I'll be sharing it with you! =)

Simple Thank You Card (using my Big Shot)

From Adriel:

Even though I'm out of town until Friday, I thought I would schedule a couple of posts this week so that the responsibility of the blog doesn't fall on my mom. She is taking care of my kids this week, along with getting ready to go on a trip of her own next week, so she doesn't need anything extra to worry about!

I thought I would share a simple thank you card I made recently using my Big Shot. Actually, almost everything on this card is made using the Big Shot (except for the small flower in the middle of the larger and the stamped sentiment).

I needed some thank you cards for my recent birthday, so I made a couple of these up. Very simple, and although it took me longer than it should have (because I was debating and planning and creating as I went along), this would be a pretty fast card to make. =)

I used:

Fundamental Phrases set (this really is fundamental and comes in handy so often!)

Sahara Sand CS
Baja Breeze CS
Ruby Red CS
So Saffron CS (or Barely Banana... can't remember which)
Whisper White CS

Ruby Red Stampin' Write marker (my ink pad was dry)

Sizzix Big Shot
Matchbox die
Daisies Flower #2 die
Scallop Circle #2 die
Backgrounds 1 Texturz plates

What is funny is a day or two after I made this, Kristina Werner posted her color inspiration challenge. All the colors I used here were used except for the Ruby Red! =)

Have a wonderful day!!
