I'm so glad that you stopped by today because I have something really fun to share with you.
It's this card...well actually it's the technique for this card which I love! I call it the Secret Message Fold (because I have no idea what it's really called). You can use this technique to add a hidden sentiment or picture or ?? At first glance it looks like a typical gatefold card, but when it's folded at the center, you can pull the centers apart and it opens to another hidden section of the card. Warning: Opening and shutting it is a little addicting.
I'm excited to share this technique with you in my How-To video below.
I hope you have fun trying this out for yourself.

Color Inkspiration Challenge
From Heidi…
Woohoo!! I was able to get in on another Inkspiration Challenge, which this week is a Color Challenge. It’s an interesting color combination…probably not one I would’ve used myself, but that’s what makes it a challenge, right?
My card uses a little bit of this and a little bit of that. First, I saw a fellow SU demo who had cut the Scallop Circle punch piece diagonally towards the center to create this fun-looking flower, then Adriel’s been working on a card using the Elegant Lines EB folder, and last but not least…last week’s challenge winner used the folded DSP which looked fun, too. So these are the little bits that I combined together to create my challenge card this week.
Punches: Fancy Flower, 1-3/4” Scallop Circle, Boho Blossom, Scallop Edge, Jewelry Tag

February Newsletter and Video Tutorial
From Heidi...
I'm sharing a couple of things today...One is that our February Newsletter has been posted. We have alll of our upcoming classes, along with pictures, listed along with our monthly Craft Room tutorial.Last month was my granddaughter's birthday, so I thought making a birthday card for her would give me the perfect opportunity to try out the Ribbon Gathering technique that I've seen lately for our Craft Room tutorial. We actually made a little video tutorial for this technique which coincides with our Craft Room project which you can view below.
Here's a picture of the card I made her.
I chose the color scheme around a set of dishes that I have... the colors just seemed to match Kayla's sweet personality. This card also uses the Framed Tulips impression folder, I love this folder!
Also...don't forget that it's Sale-A-Bration time.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting our blog!

Holiday House Tutorial
From Heidi...
Our friend, Tina, got me going on Stampin Up's Design-A-House. When the new Holiday Mini catalog came out she asked if we could get together and make these fun houses. It sounded like fun to me. So, I looked around to see what other stampers had done and I didn't find much help out there. I thought since I was already putting the instructions together for some of our stamping friends, I'd share my tutorial with anyone else who'd like to use it. You can click on Holiday House to open up the PDF tutorial for it. I hope that you have fun! If you'd like to purchase one of these houses and supplies through me, please visit my website. Photo - Memory Card
From Heidi...
Instructions:

We've been having a lot of fun creating over here. I have too many ideas in my mind to get to...but that's a good problem. Much better than being creatively blank...that's frustrating! I visited Hero Art last night and was inspired by this cute photo book/card. Book cards must be my weakness...like the tea book cards :-) Anyway, I made this little card last night and had so much fun with it. I can't wait to make another one! I also was able to use one of our new crocheted flowers on the front from Flowery Bliss.

1. I clear embossed the corners with the flourish from Priceless and then sponged Dusty Durango to the corners and edges of the card.
2. I went back and sponged So Saffron in the center, sponging into the Dusty Durango. I snailed the Soft Suede square to the center of the card, snailed the ribbon horizontally to the center of the Soft Suede square.
3. I stamped the inside and outside of my Whisper White accordion and snailed it to the center of the Soft Suede square, leaving the ribbon ends extending out.
4. I tied the accordion to closed with the ribbon and glue dotted the crocheted flower embellishment to the center of the ribbon (not the CS) and glue dotted the bottom in lower right corner of the card.

5. Now it's ready for photos or anything else that I'd like to add to the 2"-square accordion panels.
