Mother's Day Card Share

I hope that all you mom's out there had a great Mother's Day. Ours was a bargain deal Mother's Day, but there was no economizing on the fun, food and time spent with family. What's a bargain Mother's Day, you're asking? Well, Starbuck's had all their Frap's at 1/2-price from 3-5 pm, Friday through Sunday, so we got in on that deal around 3 pm. Then if you had a coupon (which Adriel had), Pei Wei's was offering a free Mom's entree for Mother's Day, so we headed over there for dinner. Yum, yum!
And here's the beautiful Mother's Day card Adriel created for me. The DSP is retired from several years ago, I loved this paper...loved the colors and patterns. She white embossed the Medallion stamp onto the DSP...I think it looks like a doilie. Pretty cute, don't you think? She also used the Four Frames stampset and Decorative Label punch. I'm not sure how she made the flowers...I think they're one of our Big Shot flower dies, but I haven't verified that fact yet. I love the sponging and distressed look...Great job, Adriel. I love it!
Thanks for stopping by and visiting. Hope that you've had a great start to your week!

Springtime Vintage Four Frames

I hope that you're all enjoying your weekend. My husband is redoing our closet, which means that everything from my closet is my bedroom...Yikes! My question is... how did all the stuff that's laying all over my bedroom fit into my closet?

Since he's busy building, etc., I thought that I'd squeeze in a little bit of creative time to make some birthday cards. Here's the one I made today using the Build-A-Blossom stampset and Blossom Petal punch, Springtime Vintage DSP, the new Four Frames stampset and new Decorative Label punch. Since I love texture, I used my textured impressions folders (Perfect Polka Dots, Framed Tulips for a row of EB'ing, Square Lattice), and I even threw in the crimper on the Rose Red petals. I used clear EB on the DSP petals then did some sponging to accent the unembossed parts. I just had some fun.
I hope that you all have a Happy Easter!

Blast From the Past

From Heidi…
A couple of years ago, our stamping friend, Norma, hosted a workshop at her house and this was one of the cards that we made that night. I loved this card! I loved the color combination and the layout. I came across this card a few weeks ago and thought it would be fun to use the layout and idea, but update it with new colors, stamps and ribbon. So, here’s what I came up with.
Isn't this new Four Frame stamp set cute?
...and it fits the new Decorative Label Punch that's in the Occasions Mini catalog. The good news is that this stamp set and coordinating punch are both going to be included in the new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog. Stampin' Up will be offering a special promotion for this Four Frames stamp set beginning April 1. To learn more about this special offer, please check out our upcoming April Newsletter or Blog.  We hope that you're having a great Saturday!
