I used
Dawn Olchefske's cute, punched
Uncle Sam as the theme for one of the cards for my June
Patriotic-Masculine themed class and changed him up a little bit. I thought I'd leave the sentiment up to the stamper's in my class. The "Happy Birthday" from
Messages for Mom fits perfectly, but I also printed up some other sentiments. Since it's definitely Patriotic looking, I created a "Happy 4th of July", also an "Uncle Sam Wants YOU..." with a card insert that says, "...to have a Happy Birthday!" Just some fun options to personalize the cards a little bit.
I ventured a tad from the traditional Red, White and Blue, and used River Rock in lieu of White, Not Quite Navy and Cherry Cobbler, with So Saffron and Very Vanilla accents.
Hand Stamped Sentiments is having a
Paper Piecing challenge this week, so thought that I'd enter this card into the challenge. Lots of cute cards and inspiration in this week's challenge.
Thanks so much for taking a look...hope that you're having a great day!
