Wow! Try saying that title 10 times as fast as you can. Quite a tongue twister, huh? =)
Here's the last card that we made in our classes this month. The Take a Spin stamp set is kind of fun with the spinners. There are a variety of occasions you can use this set for. The image I used for this card is for a birthday and it has a lot of fun sayings that you can point your spinner to. It's not the most exciting layout, but I felt a little locked in by the size and shape of the stamp, so I went with basic (and maybe a little boring), but I tried to make it a little more interesting with some fun, bright colors and polka dot ribbon. ;-)
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're having a great weekend. =)

Faux Silk Technique Video
From Heidi...
Our monthly class this month focuses on the Faux Silk technique and Take a Spin cards. We offered this class Tuesday, but we've got another class coming up next Tuesday, 2/22, at Tumbleweed Recreation Center (10 AM -314TW.231 ; 7 PM -315TW.231 ), so you can still get in on the fun! This year we've started sharing technique videos that coincide with our monthly technique or project classes, which we thought would be helpful to those who come to our classes and anyone else, for that matter :-) We're also slowly aiming towards card and project kits, and felt like offering videos would be helpful to anyone who might purchase one of our kits.
This month's technique video shows the Faux Silk technique using the Elements of Style stamp set. I incorporated the Framed Tulips impression folder into this card, which makes the perfect frame for the Faux Silk image. Thanks for stopping by and visiting us!

Doily Valentine Heart Card Video Tutorial
Hey there! Remember this card I showed you several days ago?
Well, this card was part of our card class this month and several of our local stampers bought a kit. I thought it would be nice to include a little video for them to put together this card (not that it's hard or anything!). Plus, it gave me an excuse to make a video... heehee. ;-) And with Valentine's Day being just a few days away, I thought this would be appropriate.
Enjoy the video!
I'd love to know what you think!
Let me know! =)

Sale-A-Bration Sketch Challenge
From Heidi...
Our SAB goodies have been sitting here for a few days, just waiting to be used. I never have time to play in any of the sketch challenges that are out there, but I thought that a challenge would get me using my SAB stuff and this was a nice simple sketch from Splitcoaststampers. I used the Ice Cream Parlor DSP and Flower Buttons. I sponged Cajun Craze and Pacific Point on the DSP. This is a new stamp set for us, too...it's called Word Play and it's so cute! It went perfectly with this paper.
Thanks for looking!
Supplies:
Paper: Cajun Craze, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Ice Cream Parlor DSP
Ink: Cajun Craze (sponging), Pacific Point (stamping and sponging), Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black
Stamp Set: Word Play
Big Shot: Square Lattice Textured Impressions folder
Accessories: Ice Cream Parlor Flower Button, spongeMonday, February 7, 2011
Resizing the Framed Tulip Border Tutorial
From Heidi...
I am in love with the new Framed Tulip Border Impression folder...its embossed image is too cute! I keep finding myself using it on new cards I've created. Awhile back Sharon Field shared another way to use the Framed Tulip folder...I call it resizing, but it's simply embossing smaller sizes of cardstock. Since the Framed Tulip's was created for 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of cardstock, or basically a card front, this little resizing technique makes the Tulip folder a lot more versatile.I made a bunch of tags using the resizing technique and it made for such cute tags. Several of our stamping friends have purchased the tulip folder, and so we wanted to create a video tutorial on how to use it besides just the obvious card front (which is beautiful!).
Thanks for watching the video and for visiting our blog! We hope that you have a wonderful week.

My Digital Studio Contest Reject #3
From Adriel:
To see my other submissions for the My Digital Studio contest, click HERE and HERE. =)
So here is my last (rejected) submission for the contest. I took a chance with this one, as the requirements were 1 card and 2 layouts. This might not have met SU's idea of "layout", but I wanted to think outside the box. It was a layout in my mind.
This is a weekly menu planner. We will actually be making a real one of these that looks almost the same at one of our upcoming classes. I'm looking forward to that! =)

February Newsletter and Video Tutorial
From Heidi...
I'm sharing a couple of things today...One is that our February Newsletter has been posted. We have alll of our upcoming classes, along with pictures, listed along with our monthly Craft Room tutorial.Last month was my granddaughter's birthday, so I thought making a birthday card for her would give me the perfect opportunity to try out the Ribbon Gathering technique that I've seen lately for our Craft Room tutorial. We actually made a little video tutorial for this technique which coincides with our Craft Room project which you can view below.
Here's a picture of the card I made her.
I chose the color scheme around a set of dishes that I have... the colors just seemed to match Kayla's sweet personality. This card also uses the Framed Tulips impression folder, I love this folder!
Also...don't forget that it's Sale-A-Bration time.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting our blog!
