I love making tags, I don't know if it's their size, shape, or what it is, but I always have lots of ideas for making tags. This month's tags use the Floral Fusion sizzlits, which I've had forever, but haven't used very much...why? They're super cute and just the right size for tags!
I must remember these cute flowers for future projects!

Masked Gorgeous Grunge Thank You

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
This is my first time using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. It's got a completely different feel to it than the flower stamp sets I love using, but I really liked creating with this set. It got me thinking outside my box a little bit. I coupled it with the Six-Sided Sampler...they just seem to go together.
I masked a rectangle and sponged Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding inside the masked rectangle. I'd seen this color combination while we were travelling a few weeks ago and wrote down the colors so that I wouldn't forget them, very pretty together, especially with the Midnight Muse.
I love all the backgrounds this stamp set has, especially the splatter marks. Should make for some fun looking cards in the future.

A Pinterest Inspired Thank You

On Pinterest I have a color combination board which I used to create today's Thank You card. I love the soft hues of blues and pinks together, very pretty!

One thing that is really hard for me to do is to stick with just one stamp set when I make cards. I try, but it's usually hit-and-miss and today's card was a miss, as far as one stamp set goes. In fact this card uses three stamp sets: Thank You Kindly, Flowering Flourishes, and Mixed Bunch. (When I post my card on Splitcoaststampers, which stamp set should I place it in? I'm thinking Flowering Flourishes.)
I love the Flowering Flourishes for backgrounds and thought it would make a great start for a soft and pretty card. The Fancy Fan and Delicate Designs embossing folders added a nice texture to the card.
Supplies:
CS: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Strawberry Slush
INK: Pool Party, Island Indigo, Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush
SS:Flowering Flourishes (126367), Mixed Bunch (125537), Thank You Kindly

Mosaic Christmas Ornaments

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
Today's card uses the Mosaic punch to create a couple of ornaments for the card's embellishments. I originally made the card only red and white, but my husband said it needed some greenery, so I added Old Olives leaves from the Secret Garden framelit set. I think he was right, I like it a lot better with a touch of green.
I'd seen the cute cut-out bottom for the Modern Mosaic embossing folder on a card by Kerry Bunting and loved the look, so incorporated that idea into this card. I had a strip of the striped Season of Style DSP which fit perfectly in giving the card a festive look.

Supplies:
CS: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Season of Style DSP (132340)
INK: Early Espresso
SS: Sweet Essentials (126457)
PUNCHES:Mosaic (131267)
BIG SHOT: Secret Garden framelit (129372), Modern Mosaic EB folder (129984)

Mosaic Madness Poinsetta

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
I'm sharing another Mosaic Madness Christmas card. I've seen several cards around using the Mosaic Madness stamp set and Mosaic punch to create a poinsetta and leaves, so had to try my hand at it. My poinsetta is a Strawberry Slush, since this is one of my favorite reds these days.

I used the Square Lattice embossing folder for a background. I dragged my Strawberry Slush inkpad over the raised embossing to create the white and red texture.

Supplies:
CS: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, So Saffron, Old Olive
INK:Early Espresso, Strawberry Slush, Old Olive
SS:Mosaic Madness (130249), Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370)

Get Well Doodle Card

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
This isn't what I would call an official "doodle" card, but it does use some of the ideas you'd expect in a doodle card...black outlined border with some doodly images. Although when you think of a doodle card you think of whimsical images, which this doesn't have at all. Let's call it a formal-looking doodle card and leave it at that.
I used the stamp sets Summer Silhouettes, Papillon Potpourri, and a retired stamp set Sincere Salutations for the sentiment. The Summer Silhouette stamp set created a great leafy vine and I used the small flower from the set in the corners. I filled in the rest of the lines with my black marker.
Someday I'll make a real doodle card!
Supplies:
CS: Whisper White, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Gingham Garden DSP (129310)
INK: Basic Black, Strawberry Slush
SS:Summer Silhouettes (126447), Papillon Potpourri (123759), Sincere Salutations (retired)
PUNCHES:Elegant Butterfly (127526), Bitty Butterfly (129406), Punch Pack (118309), Scallop Edge Border (119882)
ACCESSORIES: Black Stampin' Write marker, Jewels-rhinestones (119246)

September Thank You Tags

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
It's already mid-October and I'm finally getting around to sharing my September thank you tags. Whew! The weeks just seem to fly by me. I guess these tags qualify as hybrid, although the only digital part of the tags are the background. I used one of my favorite DSP's Springtime Vintage (which I can still create digitally with My Digital Studio) for the background, but everything else is stamped, punched, and die cut.
One thing I wanted to try out on these tags was whether or not I could stamp with black Stazon ink and then use the white Stampin Chalk Marker to write over the inked image. The answer...Yes! I used one of the images from That's the Ticket stamp set as the black background, allowed it to dry a few minutes and then wrote "thanks" over the black background with the chalk marker. It worked great!
My Strawberry Slush flower was made using the now retired Daisy die (which I love) and Boho Blossom punch.
Thanks so much for dropping by!

Mosaic Madness Christmas Tree

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
Today I'm sharing a simple card which was inspired by Penny Hanuszak. I used her Mosaic Madness Christmas tree idea, gluing all my stamped and punched Mosaic Madness pieces to Whisper White CS to create the tree. I then trimmed around the outer edges of my tree, placed the tree in my Square Lattice embossing folder to give it texture, and then added the embossed tree to the front of my card.
I have seen some more great ideas for the Mosaic Madness stamp set and punch, which I'll be sharing over the next few weeks.
Hope that you're all having a wonderful week!
Supplies:

Six-Sided Masculine Quickie Tutorial

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
Great news...Today I have a Quickie Tutorial to
share with you for this card.
I was looking back through some of Stampin' Up's previous year's Fall DSP's and came across Autumn Meadows from several years back. I love the color combination of this DSP with Taken with Teal, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla (don't quote me, but I think these are the colors). I used a similar color combo to create my husband's birthday card.

I had seen a card out in cyberworld that had a woodgrain embossed Island Indigo panel which I loved, so used that idea for this card, dragging Soft Suede ink over the raised embossed surface to give it a distressed look and added a few sequins for a bit of pizzazz.

If you'd like to make this card,

BIG SHOT:Adorning Accents edgelit (125595), Woodgrain embossing folder (127821

"Tags For All" Hybrids

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
I keep finding myself turning to the digital download Tags For All when I need a quick card, or a fun way to dress up an ordinary package or envelope. This download is full of fun tags and embellishments and it offers some fun and diverse ideas when it comes to gift-giving. (See my previous post for another package idea)

My first share started off as an ordinary white envelope which I spruced up with a Tags For All bow and Happy Birthday tag. My only original touch was to recolor parts of the confetti on the tag. I printed up the bow and tag, got out my scissors, cut them out, attaching them to my envelope. What a cute embellishment!

My second share is a hybrid card I created using a digital tag from Tags for All which I used as a card front. Other digital elements include: Strawberry Slush Polka Dot DSP background from Tags for All; Strawberry Slush Bird from Sunny Day; Basic Black Sentiment from Hugs & Wishes. I cut a Basic Black CS border for the digital image and attached to the front of a Whisper White card front. I added a little black ribbon bow and a few rhinestones for embellishments.
My third hybrid share are Thank You tags. These were created with the digital elelments: Tags For All Thank You stamp; Summer Happiness Butterfly stamp; Tags For All Strawberry Slush Polka Dot DSP. The little butterfly was handstamped using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set in Basic Black on Strawberry Slush CS, and then punched with the Bitty Butterfly and dimensionaled to tag front.
On my last hybrid share I enlarged the above the tag, cutting off the tag shaped top to create a rectangle. I carefully added the black border on the top with a ruler and black Sharpie, attaching the digital image to the center of a Whisper White Framed Tulip embossed border, framed by a Basic Black border and attached to the front of a Strawberry Slush card front. The smaller butterfly was handstamped in Basic Black on Strawberry Slush CS with Papillon Potpourri stamp set and then punched with the Elegant Butterfly. I loved the big bold "Thank You"along with the bold colors of black, white, and pink...very fun!
I thought I'd share a few of the tag samples with you from the
digital  Tags For All kit...fun, fun, fun set!

Thanks so much for stopping by... I hope you all have a
wonderful day!

Festive Flurry Ornament Tutorial

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................

How about a FREE tutorial? Well, I've got one for you today. This card was inspired by the Snowflake Season Simply Sent card kit in the Holiday Mini catalog. I thought creating an ornament to give as part of a card, was such a great idea, adding a personal touch to Christmas card-giving this year.

The Festive Flurry stampset and framelits bundle work great for this idea. I've created a FREE TUTORIAL for you to download, if you'd like to make these for yourself. I used the Winter Frost DSP, but any Christmas DSP could be used along with coordinating inks. You can customize the tutorial by swapping out your own DSP and colored cardstock for what I have written and use the rest of the tutorial to take you through the steps.
Hope that you have fun!
