Valentine Treat Jar

From Adriel:

Just giving you another idea on how to use the Love You Much bundle! I love how this turned out!

So simple... used a clear glass jar that we got at Michael's. Made a belly band out of the DS paper (Candy Lane) and cardstock. Wrapped that around the jar, securing it with stick strip. I suppose you could use Snail adhesive or other glue, but this was what came to mind when I was making it! LOL! I wanted it to STAY! Used the coluzzle circle template and cutter to make a nice matching circle for the top of the lid (larger circle out of CS, smaller circle out of DS paper). Stamped the large heart image from the Love You Much set on Riding Hood Red CS and cut it out, attaching it to the top of the jar with dimensionals. Tied some pretty cream-colored satin ribbon around the jar and attached a cute little tag! Put some fun red candies in the jar! How easy was that! So easy, you can do it for someone you know for Valentine's Day! Have fun!

Materials used for this project:
Love You Much stamp set
Curly Labels set
Candy Lane DS paper
Riding Hood Red CS
Pink Pirouette CS
Curly Label punch
Coluzzle Circle Cutter template and blade
Chocolate Chip ink
Riding Hood Red ink
Ivory satin ribbon
Dimensionals
Snail adhesive
Sticky Strip
Hemp cord

Just a reminder, the Love You Much Bundle (which includes the Love You Much stamp set, DS paper & Heart to Heart punch) is only available at 20% off until January 31st!

How about a birthday card for a change?

From Heidi ...

Here's a birthday card for a change from our Valentine theme. This bright, cheery card is for my granddaughter's birthday and reflects her fun and bright personality. The decorative paper was from a paper package that she gave to me for my birthday... I'm sure she'll love that it's included on her card! Thanks for looking!

Gift Card Slider Box

From Heidi...

These gift card boxes are AKA nugget boxes. I used the 8-piece (2x4) nugget box for these gift card boxes. I glued DS paper to the top and sides of the box, stamped the tissue paper with tiny dots and random hearts, made cute tags for each of them and threaded gold elastic cord through the tags. These make a common gift card special!

Note of Love Card

From Heidi ...

Today was a productive day! My granddaughter's birthday is coming up and she is hoping for new matching dresses for her and her little doll. I finished her dress and was able to cut out her doll's dress... Yay! I also found time to finish another Valentine card using the glitter embossed heart that Adriel showed you a few days ago.

Here's the finished card that the "heart" inspired me to make. It really is pretty up close. I used sponging, embossed glitter, paper piercing, and threaded satin ribbon around the perimeter of the heart. My husband had gotten me a designer corner cutter/embosser (I don't know what else to call it) for my birthday, so I used it on the corners of the Very Vanilla. I hope you enjoy it!

Confetti and a Special Heart

From Adriel:

I didn't actually make these two items. My mom did, but I have these pictures all done and thought I'd share them with you on her behalf. These are just two other ideas for you using the Love You Much bundle that is on sale right now (in case you missed the post about this, click HERE)!

Okay, first we have the cute confetti my mom made using stamped CS and also colored CS and the Heart to Heart punch! So easy and simple with a ton of cuteness!

Next is this beautiful heart decoration my mom made with the largest heart stamp in the Love You Much set. She used some sparkly red embossing powder and then threaded ribbon through holes she punched in the heart. Awesome! She plans on using this beautiful heart on a card in the near future, but I thought it was stunning all by itself! Wow! I think it would make a really cute door hanger. Hmmm... Those are the featured projects today using the Love You Much bundle! We have lots more for you, so stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting our blog and for your comments! Have a wonderful day!

Friend to Friend Card

From Adriel:

Here's another project made with some of the Love You Much bundle!

A 3x3 card with these cute little birds that have been watercolored ever so slightly, just enough so they're not plain.

The little red glitter heart was made by using the small heart in the 3-heart stamp from the Love You Much set with Versamark ink, applying heat&stick powder, giving it a blast with the heat gun, pouring on the glitter (can't say sprinkle because I POURED, heehee), another blast with the heat gun... punched out with the corresponding Heart to Heart punch (just the small heart for this one). Love the sparkle!

The sentiment is also from the same set mentioned above. It fit perfectly in the curly label punch so I used that and attached it so that it just peeks out. Just a nice little touch!
This card is part of our Valentine Treasures class on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 & Saturday, January 17, 2009. Class will be held at Heidi's house from Noon - 2:30pm on both dates. Space is limited. We will be sharing more pictures of the other projects that are part of this class as the week goes on.
Thanks for looking! I think I'll make up a few of these little cards and post them on our Etsy shop. They're too cute to keep all to myself! =D

Another Love You Much creation

From Heidi...

Here's another Valentine creation I made using the Love You Much bundle. I used two types of the DS paper (stripe and tiny polka dot), watercoloring (one of my favorite techniques!), sponging, and paper piercing. Other supplies used: Scallop edge punch, circle coluzzle, ribbon, brad, and dimensionals.

Thanks for letting me share this with you!

From Heidi...

I'll share the Tea Bag Book first. I love making these little tea card books and I had a lot of fun using the stamps, paper and punches from the Love You Much bundle on this one. Everything coordinates so well together. We'll be making this tea bag book at our first Stamp Club meeting of the year, January 22, using the Love You Much stamp set, paper and punches. Join us if you can.

Mini Bread Sleeves

From Heidi...

I thought I'd post the mini bread sleeves I made this week. Adriel originally came up with this cute bread sleeve idea. She made several for the craft fairs we did last month.
I made mini pumpkin bread loaves to give to my neighbors for Christmas and thought that a mini bread sleeve would be a cute way to package them. We resized the larger bread sleeves and came up with this one.

Here are the dimensions, if anyone else would like to make some for the holidays. These fit a 3x5 mini bread loaf.

4.25x11 cardstock, decorative paper (optional), sticky strip or adhesive

1 - Starting at one of the long ends, score at 7/8", 2-1/4", 4-1/4", 6-3/4", 8-3/4", 10-1/8"

2 - Fold at scores to form a box except for the scores at 7/8" and 10-1/8", fold those in the opposite direction to form a handle, as seen in the picture.

3 - Glue decorative paper strips to sides, if desired.

4 - Glue or sticky strip the 7/8" handles together.

5- Punch a hole in the middle of the handle and tie a ribbon or add a decorative tag.

6 - Insert your wrapped bread loaf! Very easy!

Be Mine Box

From Adriel:
Okay, so I showed you the fun paper I made last week using a blank sheet of paper and stamps, sponges and ink. Today, I'm going to show you what I did with some of the paper. This is also a sneak-peek at one of the projects we have planned for our Valentine Treasures project class. We will have more info about dates and times for that later. Here's the cute chocolate nugget box I made using my own paper. Each chocolate is also wrapped with the special paper and stamped to spell out "Be Mine". Hope you like it!

Adriel's new blog

From Adriel:

Good morning! My mom and I are going to be heading out of here in about an hour to a craft show, but before I left, I wanted to let you all know about my new blog. I wanted a blog where I could put other craft ideas and interests not related to stamping and such. I will still be updating this blog and being involved here. You can visit my other blog by going to: http://www.mycraftingadventures.blogspot.com/. I just started it a couple of days ago, so there's not much on it yet. It looks pretty lonely right now!!

On another note, the other day I began work on a project for our Valentine Treasures class coming up early next year. This class will be held at my mom's house, so I hope some of you can make it. I made this paper with stamping and sponging. I ended up using it on one of the projects! I will show you what I made with it another time. For now, here's the paper I made, which started out as a blank sheet of white paper! Let me know what you think!

P.S. I started this post this morning, but had problems with Blogger. I finished posting after the craft show, so that's why at the beginning of the post I'm talking about morning and then this post doesn't get posted until the evening. Thanks!

Pacific Point 3x3

From Adriel:

Some of you may recognize this card from several weeks ago. We got together with a group of ladies at Carol's house to make 5 cards. We made 2 of this design.

This card is a 3x3 notecard. It's a great for giving with gifts or just a friendly note to someone! Below is the recipe for the card:

Pacific Point CS, Whisper White CS, Kiwi Kiss CS, One of a Kind set, Seeing Spots set, Pacific Point classic ink, Kiwi Kiss classic ink, scallop circle punch, 3/4" circle punch, dimensionals, mini glue dots, & rhinestones.

Stamping in different colors on white cardstock is a great way to make your own custom paper that coordinates perfectly with your color scheme and design.
