Sailboat Baby Card

Today's card uses a digital stamped sailboat image and digital sentiment, with the rest of the card using traditional card making stuff like the Square Lattice embossed CS panel, sponging, Oval framelits, etc.

I had fun creating this card...well, anytime you get to use digital, sponging, texturing and the Big Shot you've got yourself a recipe for fun.

Hope that you're having a fun day, too!

So Kind CASE

Today I'm sharing a card I case'd by Connie Collins. She created a bold digital chevron background, which I loved, using MDS and a Silhouette cutter. I don't have a cutter, but I do have MDS so I came up with my own chevron background using the MDS photo corner punch. I didn't quite get my punches aligned perfectly, so the points of the chevrons aren't as clean as I'd like, but since I didn't have time to go back and redo, it's good enough.
The retired Flower Fest stamp set is still one of my favorites, especially if I'm in the mood to watercolor.

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Elephants

The inspiration for this cute baby boy card came from a sweet card Kim S. made using elephants. I used her three elephant idea which I created using My Digital Studio's Nursery Necessities stamp set, and stamped the "Hello Baby" sentiment from the Sweet Essentials stamp set.
I love hybrid cards because the printer produces rich evenly stamped images, as seen
 in the elephants above.
The color combination in the Sweet Sorbet DSP has a nursery look and works well for a baby boy or girl card. I pulled out SU's retired star punches to make an embellishment for the upper section of the card.

So glad that you stopped by!

Supplies:
INK: Pool Party, Pistachio Pudding, Summer Starfruit, Basic Black
PAPER: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pool Party, Black, Sweet Sorbet DSP
SS: Sweet Essentials

I'm still here...just been very busy. I have a bunch of cute pictures and projects to share with you, but first I have to edit the pics, write the blog post, (blah, blah, blah). Upcoming blog posts and pictures are on my "to do" list, so they'll be posted in the near future. Until then, I thought I'd share this cute and free MDS bow and tag set that was posted on My Digital Studio's page. It's a project that was created with MDS and saved as a PDF, so all you have to do is click on the PDF link and print it out, even if you don't have MDS. If you need some instructions on how to create the bow, check out MY HOW-TO post. Hope you have fun!

"Tags For All" Hybrids

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
I keep finding myself turning to the digital download Tags For All when I need a quick card, or a fun way to dress up an ordinary package or envelope. This download is full of fun tags and embellishments and it offers some fun and diverse ideas when it comes to gift-giving. (See my previous post for another package idea)

My first share started off as an ordinary white envelope which I spruced up with a Tags For All bow and Happy Birthday tag. My only original touch was to recolor parts of the confetti on the tag. I printed up the bow and tag, got out my scissors, cut them out, attaching them to my envelope. What a cute embellishment!

My second share is a hybrid card I created using a digital tag from Tags for All which I used as a card front. Other digital elements include: Strawberry Slush Polka Dot DSP background from Tags for All; Strawberry Slush Bird from Sunny Day; Basic Black Sentiment from Hugs & Wishes. I cut a Basic Black CS border for the digital image and attached to the front of a Whisper White card front. I added a little black ribbon bow and a few rhinestones for embellishments.
My third hybrid share are Thank You tags. These were created with the digital elelments: Tags For All Thank You stamp; Summer Happiness Butterfly stamp; Tags For All Strawberry Slush Polka Dot DSP. The little butterfly was handstamped using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set in Basic Black on Strawberry Slush CS, and then punched with the Bitty Butterfly and dimensionaled to tag front.
On my last hybrid share I enlarged the above the tag, cutting off the tag shaped top to create a rectangle. I carefully added the black border on the top with a ruler and black Sharpie, attaching the digital image to the center of a Whisper White Framed Tulip embossed border, framed by a Basic Black border and attached to the front of a Strawberry Slush card front. The smaller butterfly was handstamped in Basic Black on Strawberry Slush CS with Papillon Potpourri stamp set and then punched with the Elegant Butterfly. I loved the big bold "Thank You"along with the bold colors of black, white, and pink...very fun!
I thought I'd share a few of the tag samples with you from the
digital  Tags For All kit...fun, fun, fun set!

Thanks so much for stopping by... I hope you all have a
wonderful day!

Hybrid Baby Card

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................
Here's a simple baby card that combines digital stamping and traditional elements, making it a hybrid card. I used one of the tags from the Tags For All digital kit and combined it with the Kind & Cozy stamp set and Gingham Garden DSP. The midnight blue heart is from the Kind & Cozy digital stamp which I enlarged.

One of the things that I like about creating digitally is that once you design your elements, you can save them and use them again simply by printing them out, because all the design work is already done.

Have a great day!

Tags For All Sample

CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO VIEW:
...............................................

Last month I downloaded the MDS Tags For All designer template and I am having so much fun with it. I created my Stamp Club ladies' tags with it last month (I'll share those later on), and this month I tried out the bow and one of the Happy Birthday tags for my grandson's present.

I kept the birthday tag the size it opens up in, but it can be enlarged or reduced to your liking. The only thing I did change was to recolor the border and the "to you" banner. I love how big the tag is and when the bow is attached to the top of the tag you end up with the cutest looking present. What a fun download!

I thought I'd share with you a simple blow-by-blow on how I made the bow. I used the digital version of Polka Dot Parade DSP download to fill in the bow punch parts and printed them out on a sheet of paper, then printed the backside of my print out with the same DSP, so that the bow would have a pattern on the front and backsides when folded. BTW...you can fill the punches with any color or any DSP you have downloaded. You can also resize the bow to enlarge or reduce it.

I cut out the bow parts (saving the DSP remnants for another project) then began assembling the bow by gently bending/folding each bow end toward the center and taping the ends down at the center.

Matching the center sections, I taped the bow to the bottom layer which is the bow ends.

I wrapped the bow strip around the center section of bow and bow ends, taping the ends to the backside.I taped it onto my package over my great big tag and I now I have a simple and super cute gift package.

MDS Lovely As a Tree

(there's too many fun promos to list them all here)

Today's card was created using My Digital Studio after I was inspired by a layout in a paper catalog I received. I thought the Lovely As a Tree digital stamp would work out well for this sympathy card.
I lightly water colored Soft Suede over parts of the digital stamp to create shadowing. I also used the Simply Scored tool and paper piercing to give the card a handmade touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting!

CS: Very Vanilla, Marina Mist
INK: Digital Soft Suede and Early Espresso

Bright, Bold Hybrid Birthday

(there's too many fun promos to list them all here)

I case'd this card from SU's Bday Under Construction digital kit (which I love, BTW). I used My Digital Studio to create the More Mustard background and to create the "happy birthday" embellishment, cutting it out, adding a brad to one of the stars and dimensionalling it onto the front of card. Fast, easy, and cute!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Pink Baby Girl

(there's too many fun promos to list them all here)

Today's share is a simple "new baby" card. I love the Papillon Potpourri stamp set. The coordinating Elegant butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches make it simple to create a quick embellishment for a card or scrapbooking. I did use MDS for the Early Espresso sentiment "it's a girl!", everything else was done the handmade way. (BTW...The price for My Digital Studio has been permanently reduced to $19.95)

Thanks for looking!

Supplies:
CS: Whisper White, Primrose Petals, Subtles Collection DSP (117152)

Hybrid Melon Mambo Birthday

CLICK HERE TO VIEW STAMPIN' UP'S PROMOTIONS
(there's too many fun promos to list here)

This birthday card was created using My Digital Studio. I used SAB's digital version of Madison Avenue and Vintage Verses stamp sets on a Melon Mambo digital DSP background and ran that through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice embossing folder for texture. I punched out Melon Mambo Itty Bitty Shapes and added them to the digital images... and what's a card without a little bit of "bling"?

Thanks for stopping by!

Advent Calendar Garland

Here's an Advent Calendar Garland made with Dixie cups. I saw this cute idea on “My Craft Channel” and thought I’d try it out for myself. The only tip or instruction given was to take apart a Dixie cup to make your pattern. From there I was on my own.
I had a bunch of the Festival of Prints DSP sheets left from my Club project, so I used these to glue over the Dixie cups. I punched a hole on each side of the cup where I attached a metal handle. I created my advent number embellishments using My Digital Studio. I basically got to create my own Advent Calendar Kit using the DSP and creating coordinating embellishments, which was kind of a fun thing to do. The embellishments were attached to the front of the cups with a dimensional. I tied ornament hooks to a string of yarn which the Advent cups hung from.

The cups can be filled with candy, little gifts or Scriptures for each day, as you work your way towards December 25th. It's fun and simple Advent Calendar project to make.
Hope that you're having a great December so far!

Hybrid Anniversary Card

Today I've veered away from Christmas to share this hybrid card I made several months ago. I  CASE'd this card from Connie Collins as my anniversary card for my husband. After a summer of no stamping due to my broken arm, her card got my creative juices going again.
This was actually a fun card to copy using My Digital Studio's digital stamps and Comfort Cafe designer paper. My "love" sentiment and flourish background are both digital stamps which I printed out on Crumb Cake card stock.
Supplies:
CS: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Comfort Cafe DSP
INK: MDS Early Espresso, Soft Suede for sponging

Thanks a bunch for stopping by! Hope that you have a wonderful day :-)

Preserved Thank You

Hi Stamping and Blogging friends. Todays post is a thank you card I made using the cute Perfectly Preserved stamp set. The new Woodgrain embossing folder is a fun background for the cute Mason jar. I used the digital version of the stamp set so that I could re-size and create the little yellow flower to be printed inside the jar, but used the coordinating Cannery Set framelits to cut out the jar and lid.

This stamp set is perfect for the coming Fall season...for thank you's, Thanksgiving cards, and Fall birthdays.
Have a wonderful day!

Digital Extreme Elements Thanks

Here's today's CAS "Thank You" card share, You'll notice that I used the same basic card layout as I did on last week's card. All I did was change out the digital stamp and center the sentiment. Since this was for my grandson, who also has been a big help these days. I used My Digital Studio stamps "Extreme Elements" along with "Thank You Kindly".
Have a great day!
