Be My Valentine

Today's sharing is all about hearts and Valentine's Day. My first share is a white-on-white card using the Lovely Lace embossing folder and heart framelits along with some scallop punched embossed images.
I love the lacy look the Curvy Corner Trio punch creates.

On the second card, I used one of the Labels Collection framelits to emboss the card front (it's hard to see in the picture) which the Bloomin' Heart sets on. The Bloomin' Heart was created with Blushing Bride cardstock with Crumb Cake ink sponged around the edges and inside to make it vintage looking. Little Rose Red flowers decorate the heart. The banner from the coordinating stamp set, Bloomin' Love, fits perfectly on the heart.
Again, I love the lacy look the Curvy Corner Trio punch creates.

I hope that you're having a wonderful day!

Supplies:
CS: Whisper White, Rose Red, Blushing Bride, Real Red
INK: Basic Black, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
STAMPSET; Bloomin' Love
BIG SHOT:Bloomin' Heart framelit, Labels Collection framelit, Hearts framelit, Lovely Lace embossing folder
PUNCHES: 1-3/4 and 2-3/8 Scallop Circle punches, Curvy Corner Trio punch

Doily Heart Valentine

I kind of went crazy making Valentine cards this year, but my plan was to make a bunch of different kinds of Valentine's and then pick out the three favorites for a class. This was one of my favorites, even though it didn't make the class cut. It's a great card to make one of, but the prep work and all the steps involved would have been too much for a two-hour class.
I think this was one of the first Valentine cards I made so I wanted to use my new framelits, dies, and embossing folders, the important thing is that I had fun making this card, which is what it's all about anyway, right?

Have a great day!
Supplies:
CS: Real Red, Whisper White
INK: Real Red, Early Espresso
SS: You are Loved (123779)
BIG SHOT: Heart framelit (125599), large scallop edgelit (127019), Delicate Doilies sizzlit (126999), Delicate Designs eb foler (127023), square Lattice folder (119976)

Strips of Valentine Enchantment

It's hard to believe that we're already into the middle of January and heading towards the next holiday, Valentine's Day. Here's the last card we made in this month's Valentine Trio class. I used strips of the SAB Everyday Enchantment DSP along with the Edgelit Adorning Accents scallop die and coordinating Adorning Accents embossing folder.
I have a couple of sheets left over from the Everyday Enchantment DSP which are more masculine, but haven't created anything with them yet. With my Valentine classes finished, I'm looking forward to playing around with these new sheets of DSP and their color combinations.

I hope that you're having a week, and thanks for stopping by!

This card is part of January's Valentine Enchantment Trio class.

A Quilted Valentine

Here's another Valentine share. This card uses the upcoming Sale-A-Bration Everyday Enchantment DSP. This cute DSP has been punched out with the Postage Stamp punch to create the quilt effect.

This is one of the Valentine cards we're making in this month's class on Tuesday, 1/20. If you can't make the class, I have the tutorial and a few card kits available for purchase.

Thanks for stopping by!

Doily Valentine Heart Card

From Adriel:

Here's one of the cards we will be making at our Valentine card class next month.

I had a lot of fun with this card. We had these small doilies that we had bought awhile ago and I finally created something with them! It's just a really fun and lovely way to dress up a card or project.

The heart is a die cut from the "Hearts & Brackets" die. I used Blushing Bride CS for the pink and Rose Red CS for the heart die cut. The heart was stamped with an image from the Elements of Style stamp set in Versamark ink and sprinkled with a clear embossing powder / dazzling diamonds glitter mixture and set with the heat tool. It's a great way to make your own specialty paper. =) The little sentiment is from the Tiny Tags set. And of course you have the doily in the background.

Soft and sweet with glitter and frills. =)
BTW, I was designing something recently and I used ANOTHER doily! I'm stuck!

How about you? What are you "stuck" on right now?

Looking forward to this class on Tuesday! We'll be all sparkly! =)

Happy V-Day and a card for the THS Color Challenge #1!

From Adriel:

Just a quick post today to share the Valentine card I made for my husband with you!
I used the THS Color Challenge #1 (there's still time to play along!) for the colors and had a fun time making a simple card for my "love of a lifetime". I really appreciate my husband and am thankful for him! Today was a good day to thank the Lord for Gary and for giving me such a wonderful husband. =)

Hope you are all having an enjoyable day! We spent a good part of the day just "hanging out" together and with the kids. It was a refreshing day! =)

Embossed Valentine Card

From Heidi...I hope that you're all having a great week. We've got a few classes this week, so I'm looking forward to some creative time with our stamping friends. Thursday's class is an altered file folder birthday or calendar or shopping organizer...so that's going to be fun to create again. I'm sharing this embossed Valentine card. I CASE'd this from a Christmas card I saw and recreated it as a Valentine card using the Well-Scripted stamp set and Big Shot Heart diecut.

Valentine SAS Card

From Adriel:

This coming week is our busy week full of card and stamping classes! We are going to have so much fun making these cards with our stamping gals!

Here's a couple of the cards we're going to be making at our SAS classes this week.
They're basically the same card with a different printed paper and the cardstock on the scallop circles reversed. Simple design, a lot of Big Shot-ing and pretty DS paper! BTW, that's the same DSP that I used on these mini love notes with the tiny squares of DSP... Sending Love Specialty DSP from Stampin' Up! I hope they continue making this kind of paper in the future, because it is so awesome to have one side with glitter on it. =)

If you're curious about the supplies I used, here's a list (all supplies Stampin' Up! unless noted):

Real Red CS, Kraft CS, Very Vanilla CS, Pretty in Pink CS, Chocolate Chip CS, Sending Love Specialty DSP (one of my favs right now!), Big Shot die cut machine, Scallop Circles #2 die, Elegant Bouquet Impressions folder, Hearts & Brackets die, Photo Corner punch, All Holidays stamp set, Chocolate Chip ink, rhinestone (not SU!).

Mini Love Notes

From Adriel:

I love making 3x3 mini note cards... they're just so cute! Of course, you can't send them in the mail (unless you put them in an A2 envelope), but they're perfect for giving along with a small gift, or tucking somewhere to find later, or just for giving from hand to hand on their own! Anyway, they're cute... that's the important part! And they're also pretty easy to make a bunch of because of the size... cute and simple! I really like that! =D

I used small squares of the lovely new DSP from Stampin' Up! called Sending Love Specialty DSP. Each sheet of DSP has one side that has glitter on it... built in glam!! ;-)

Simple, yes. Quick... well, cutting those squares super small and then adhering them evenly on... not so quick. But CUTE... remember, that is what we're going for! =D

Look for these in our Etsy shop soon!

A Valentine...

From Heidi...I have been using my Christmas break to look at different "how to" blogs and having a bunch of fun! There is so much inspiration out there...I just need more time!! I came across a fun tutorial on how to make your own paper buttons. (Sorry, I will have to go back and find the blog that has the tutorial so that I can pass it on.) I tried it out and made this Valentine card with a layout I used for a Christmas card I made.
Basically the buttons are made with 4 layers of punched cardstock adhered together, and then a punched DS paper or stamped CS layer\ adhered on top. Lightly sand the edges, punch buttonholes (I used my Cropadile), and then add a nice layer of Crystal Effects to the top. Allow plenty of time for the Crystal Effects to dry... I learned that the hard way and messed up a button :-( That's it! Thanks for letting me share!

Valentine Gift Tags

From Adriel:

Here's some cute tags I made using the Love You Much set! This stamp fits perfectly in the scallop circle punch! I just colored in parts of the stamped image with Stampin' Write markers to add some color and interest.

Here's the tag on a Valentine candy jar. Who wouldn't like to get something like this? =D

Thanks for looking! Remember, the Love You Much bundle is only available at the discounted price for a few more days! January 31st is the deadline for ordering! You can order by clicking HERE and clicking on "Order Now".

Kayla's Cards

From Adriel:
Hey there! Well, I thought I would take a moment to brag on my daughter, Kayla. She just turned 8 and she's full of all kinds of ideas and energy! She used the two of those the other day and made these cute Valentine cards. I thought I'd share them with you! Enjoy!

Blue Love Notes

From Adriel:
Here's some love notes I made the other day. Thought I would share them with you!

These are 3x3 cards, which is a great size for a love note! 3x3 cards are a favorite shape of mine, partly because of their shape (square), but also because they're easy to make and you can get 3 card bases out of 1 sheet of 8.5" x 11" cardstock, so they're cheaper, and we all like that, right!?! Okay, here's what I used:

Baja Breeze CS
Very Vanilla CS
Pink Pirouette CS

Versa Mark
Baja Breeze ink
Pink Pirouette ink
Sparkly Gold embossing powder

All Holidays set
Priceless set

Heart to Heart punch
1-3/8" square punch
dimensionals
adhesive

Lots of fun to make! I especially liked the gold embossing powder, so much that I made two other sets of the same layout with different colors and more gold embossing powder! Thanks for looking. Have a wonderful day!

Dazzling Valentine Thoughts

From Heidi...

I thought I'd share this "dazzling" Valentine card with you. I'm sure that you'll agree that this card is not lacking in "bling." My 16 yo son thought this was a great card, he loved all the shine and glimmer :-) What's funny is Adriel and I were working on cards last night and I think she finished 6 cards in the time it took me to do this 1 card...Oh well. I wasn't very productive but I had a lot of fun with the glitter.
